How we handle your data

Kazofein is a fashion search, discovery, and styling service operated at kazofein.com, made by Fedör. For questions about this policy, contact us at hello@kazofein.com.

Account data. When you register, we store your email address, gender preference, aesthetic preferences, and size information. This is used solely to personalise your experience.

Usage data. We log which items you compare, wishlist, like, or dislike. This is the core signal for personalising your rankings and is never sold or shared with third parties.

Search queries. We store search queries to improve relevance and for internal analytics. Queries are not linked to your name or email and are stored only by user ID.

Images (Search & Get The Look). Photos you upload in photo search or Get The Look are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis and are not stored on our servers — they're used transiently for that one request and discarded. Anthropic's own privacy policy applies to that processing.

Cookies. We use a single first-party session cookie (kzf_onboarded) to track onboarding state. No third-party tracking cookies are used.

Requests submitted at /bureau are handled differently from the free tools above, because delivering the service requires the information to actually persist for a while:

Request details. Your email, name, sizes, location, budget, and notes are stored in our database so we can fulfil the request. This data is kept for the duration of the engagement plus a reasonable follow-up window, and deleted on request (see "Your rights" below).

Photos. Photos you attach to a Bureau request are sent by email directly to Fedör to service your request — they are not stored in our database or in any file storage. They exist only in that email.

Payment. Payment is not yet processed through the site. We follow up by email with a quote and a separate payment link — that payment provider's own privacy policy applies to any payment information you provide there.

Your data is used exclusively to operate the service: personalising rankings, maintaining your wishlist, improving search results, and — for Bureau requests — delivering the styling or editorial homage you asked for. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not show targeted ads.

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with any third party except as required to operate the service (database hosting via Supabase, AI inference via Anthropic, email delivery via Resend for Bureau requests).

Kazofein earns commission when you click through to a retailer and make a purchase. Affiliate relationships do not affect how items are ranked or which items appear in search results. Rankings are determined entirely by our scoring model before any affiliate relationship exists.

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted in the EU. We retain account data as long as your account is active, and Bureau request data for the engagement plus a reasonable follow-up window. You may request deletion at any time by emailing hello@kazofein.com.

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@kazofein.com. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have rights under GDPR including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Kazofein is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a revised date. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
